Long Beach Branch NAACP is announcing the 2021 Long Beach Branch NAACP 80th Anniversary Gala Celebration. The Gala will be held virtually Saturday, March 20, 2021. Honorees that will be recognized for outstanding contributions and service to the LB Branch NAACP and community are as follows:

Long Beach Branch NAACP has been serving the needs of our community, especially our youth for 80 years. These services are provided to low income, disadvantaged, and underserved people of Long Beach. Proceeds from the 80th Anniversary Gala Celebration will help support the Long Beach Branch NAACP’s Stay-in-School, Youth Impact, Scholar Dollars, NAACP Scholarships, the Afro-American, Cultural, Technological Scientific Olympics (ACT-SO), Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM), Long Beach Branch NAACP COVID-19 Fund, and our Get Aboard the Technology Train Projects. In addition, these funds will support the branch’s operations in such areas as: Wealth Empowerment, Civil Rights Investigation, Senior Services, Health Disparities, Veterans’ Services, Economic Development, First Time Home Buyers Program, Labor and Industry, and Environmental Justice Programs.
