111th Virtual NAACP Convention
September 13 - September 26
Long Beach NAACP gives new date for the 111th NAACP National Convention, to be held virtually September 13-26, 2020.
The change is because the safety and security of our communities continues to be the NAACP’s utmost priority. Join us as we have imperative conversations discussions around COVID-19, voting and economic stability for Blacks.
Registration will open the week of July 20, 2020.

This week is comprised of regional meetings and ACT-SO competitions. Branch/Unit Leadership received an email regarding registering the unit’s delegates and alternates. Once this information has been submitted, the unit secretary will receive a link to submit payment. After payment has been received, the registered delegates will receive a link to participate in their regional meeting.
Payment links will be sent to the unit secretary after completion of the delegate/alternate registration.

Purpose of The National Convention
The Annual Convention of the Association shall establish policies and programs of action for the ensuing year. all actions of the Convention on questions of policy and programs, which are not contrary to the Constitution, shall be binding on the Board of Directors, the Executive Committee, the Officers and all Units, except as hereinafter provided.
No resolution for change of policy or program of action shall be in order unless it shall have been favorably voted upon at regular legislative meetings of a Unit in good standing, or has been submitted by the President and CEO. The resolutions for policy or program change must be certified by the President and Secretary of the Unit, and received by the President and CEO in the National Office by May 1st annually. The Convention shall act on all such proposed program or policy changes during its Legislative Sessions.
