The Long Beach Branch NAACP believes it is important to help our community stay safe. COVID-19 & the Delta Variant is continuing to spread. LB Branch NAACP Food and Mask Distribution Program is helping address the disparities of low-income families and others in need. The grant for this program was provided by the Long Beach Community Foundation. Our Mask Distribution Program began in April 2020, Food Distribution began in June 2020 and provides food to residents who have food instabilities. LB Branch has distributed over 780,000 masks, sanitizers and gloves, and provided food for over 1,000 people since the program began. The branch is seeking additional food sources and grants.
