Long Beach Branch NAACP salutes Attorney Montgomery Cole for 20 years of support to LB Branch NAACP’s Law Day Project. Mr. Cole is a partner of the law firm Madden, Jones, Cole & Johnson.

LB NAACP Law Day program in conjunction with Keesal, Young & Logan is an Award-Winning Law Day Program and Project. The program has eight components: Law Day study guide for students and teachers; legal career and law materials; mentoring and shadowing of lawyers, judges, and other legal professionals; courthouse and law school visitations; and Law Day speakers, panels, and discussions. Also included is a special workshop for educators teaching about law and law as a profession. The culminating activity is a special program at KYL. The participants are NAACP youth and college members, students from Long Beach middle schools, high schools, and colleges participating in on-campus law programs.

Montgomery Cole was born and raised in Long Beach, California. He has been a litigator with Madden, Jones, Cole & Johnson since 1980, with extensive experience in a wide range of business, trust, real estate, employment, and personal injury matters. He has represented a variety of businesses ranging from publicly traded entities, corporations, and partnerships to LLCs an sole proprietorships. Mr. Cole has also represented hundreds of individuals in litigation ranging from business, trust, and real estate disputes to product liability, construction site, and motor vehicle accident cases. He represents both plaintiffs and defendants and has had numerous trials, arbitrations, and mediations throughout southern and central California. He has also served as a mediator, arbitrator and settlement officer for the Los Angeles Superior Court for many years. Mr. Cole is a member of the California, Los Angeles, and Long Beach Bar Associations and has been a member of the Joseph A. Ball/Clarence S. Hunt Inn of Court of Long Beach since its inception in 1991, serving as President of the Inn for the 2005-2006 and 2006-2007 terms. Mr. Cole’s track record of high-quality representation has been recognized by his peers with the highest A.V. rating. He has also been recognized as a Super Lawyer by Los Angeles Magazine in 2005, 2006, and 2011. He is a Cum Laude graduate of Loyola Law School of Los Angeles in 1980 and represented Loyola in state and national moot court competitions. He obtained his B.A. from California State University, Long Beach in 1977, where he was a four-year oarsman and captain of the Long Beach crew.

Mr. Cole is a founding member of the Long Beach Branch NAACP award-winning American Bar Association’s Law Day Program and Project in conjunction with Keesal, Young & Logan, and he has been consistently involved since the inception of the Program in 2000.
